Ruben......

Oh my word.....Is he not the most precious little boy ever!!!

He is newer listed on Reece's Rainbow and every since I have seen his face I can't get it out of my head.  He is just so darn cute.  He is listed as Ruben on RR.  That is not his real name but a type of alias to protect his identity.  Oh how I wish I could just scoop up every one of these little ones and bring them home.  He just sounds like such a great little guy!!  This is what is listed for him---

Boy, born March 2009
This lovely boy has a big smile and likes to say hello to all the caregivers. He plays with toys and likes to play with flashlights. He enjoys being outdoors on the swing when it’s sunny. He claps his hands, stands with support and babbles often. He likes to be praised when he does something well. He is a child with Down Syndrome waiting for his loving family to bring him home!

I800A........

Well we got confirmation that our I800A arrived at the USCIS!!!!!  So now we wait.   Wait to get an officer assigned to us and an appt. for our fingerprinting.  Once we get that back then we are able to finish putting our dossier together and send it off to China......ahhhhhh.....it is moving along!!!

So what is up with us around here......
This past week we took some time, like every year, and headed up north with my parents for some time fishing and playing in the sand......

Nathan could fish all day and night if you let him!

The girls LOVED playing in the wet, cold sand......Ana also enjoyed sticking her face in it and taking a big bite......I will never understand :)

The weather this year was freezing!!  It was some days in the 50s so no swimming.  Instead we went to the petting zoo and they had a blast!

There is a large bird house and Ana was in heaven......walking around signing bird.  It was very cute.

Finally we went to the lumberjack show.....yep that is what we do up in the north woods!!

It is so fun.  They log roll and have chopping contests and they kids get to also saw.

Great time but now back to reality!!!

Success X2.....

So I got a wonderful email yesterday stating that our homestudy is notarized and in the mail.  We should get it tomorrow.....YAY!!!

Finally it has been a long time to get this so I am so happy we can move on to the next step.

Then yesterday Nathan taught Katie how to climb a tree.

Now it might not be the traditional way and I will just say ahead of time I was right there and no one got hurt but I loved to see how they could problem solve this and they did a great job.

Nate:  Katie pull use your muscles.  Katie:  I.  A.M. T.R.Y.I.N.G.
Nate:  Ok this is not going to work........I got it

Nate:  Oh yeah this is much easier Mom.  I am just going to hold the chair and rest.  Katie:  Yeah I can do all this by myself!!!

SUCCESS!!!!

Good for the soul......

One thing the kids and I love is to turn up the music and dance!

Hope this brings a smile to your day because I know I LOVE seeing kids so carefree and just loving life!

We have heard Caleb loves music.  Get ready little guy to have your sisters and brother teaching you some crazy dance moves and how to do the "Prevost dance!"  If you look close and catch Nathan dancing kicking his feet straight out with his arms going up and down straight in front of him......that would be what they have named the prevost dance :)

Finally I just got the email that gave us the go ahead to start the process of having them verified and authenticated!!!  We also mailed our I800 over again since the 1st one is still missing in the mail :(  We are moving along!!!

Red thread.........

Yesterday my girlfriend stopped by with a journal for me to write in.  We have talked many times how I need to start journaling all the times God has shouted to me ..... You are on the right track.  This is where you guys are suppose to be.  I am in control.  Relax.  You have heard and listened and I will get you and Caleb together.  Trust Me.  Trust.  Trust.  Trust.......

I do trust but every time something takes a day or so longer to complete I get so frustrated that it is causing us that one more day or week in the end to get to him.  So I open it and this is what she wrote

An invisible red thread connects those who
are destined to meet, regardless of time, place
or circumstance.  The thread may stretch or
tangle, but it will never break!
-An ancient Chinese belief-

When I read it yesterday I thought oh that is cute then last night I opened and read it again and peace!  We will get to you Caleb.  It may not be in my timing because that would have been the day we found you but it will be in perfect timing, God's timing, and I may have to work hard to remember that but I do know I can always find peace in that.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am trying to learn some facts and customs of China.
Here is some fun facts.
The color red is considered lucky in China
It is considered good luck for the gate to a house to face south.
Chinese calendar is based on the lunar cycle and is the oldest known calendar.
Unlike the English language that you can sound out words letter by letter, the Chinese language has over 20,000 characters.  An average person learns around 5,000 of these in their lifetime.  They learn them by looking at them and memorizing.
There is only one time zone in china.
Beijing is the Capital.
Then on Sat my sister got married!!!!
Let me tell you she was the most beautiful bride who married an awesome guy and their wedding was in a gorgeous location.  Only neg to the day was the temp was over 100 degrees.....yep hot and outdoors was the wedding but who cares when you are with family and friends and having the time of our lives.  It was a great time!!  Love you guys!
Tonight Nathan had his first baseball game and he did awesome!!  I was so proud of him and it was fun to watch him enjoy himself.
So onto adoption news --- Our homestudy should be finally signed off tomorrow but our I800A with our nice check is lost in the mail.  We are going to wait until Thursday and if it doesn't arrive in WA then we are cancelling our check and resending it out.  Pls pray that they get it so we can get moving on an appt for our fingerprinting!!!
