I did want to update you all though. We have our paperwork in to the US immigration for our I800. We are waiting approval for that which gives us his ok to get his visa when we are in Ch*na.
Now the fun part and hopefully some day I can really show you how God has His hands all over this adoption. He has shown me bits and parts of the adoption world that many don't get to see and has given me comfort and blessings I could never even imagine possible. On that note I will say that through the beauty of the internet we found out where our guy's foster home is. It is an awesome place and he is so loved. Unfortunately in his province the orphanage will take him back about 3 weeks prior to us traveling. He has never been in this orphanage except maybe a couple days when he was first found (not even sure if then). We have prayed to please let there be a way to not have him go there. This weekend we found out there is a chance if we ask permission that the director of the orphanage may grant the ok to keep him at his foster home until we arrive.
So....my prayer request. I talked to my agency yesterday and asked them to go to bat for us. She said she would try but believes that on our end we have no say. Please pray that when she asks they will grant us permission for this. This would be HUGE! The transfer to the orphanage would be so traumatic and the living conditions so different for him.
Here is another picture of our guy!!!
Baby picture....too cute for words :)

Awww he's soooo adorable!! Praying they will grant your request!! He needs to stay where he's at!! One less move for him. :) Congrats again! :)

PRAYING Juli! Our God can do this!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, praying!
ReplyDeleteHe is SUCH a cutie!!!
Oh love the baby pic! Simply adorable. :-) You know I'm praying about this. God CAN do this!
ReplyDeleteHi, Juli! Definately will be praying for that. Just to encourage you a bit if it doesn't work out, (although we will pray in faith and with expectation that God will answer that request!) Joshua had to go back to the orphanage 2-3 weeks prior to us coming to get him, and he has adjusted here so well that It seems that those weeks in the orphanage were not traumatic for him. Different, yes, but not traumatic. We are so grateful. Either way, remember that GOD is in control, and that He is always holding your sweet child in HIS loving arms, no matter where he is, or who is caring for him. We are SOOO excited for you, and still praying that our week in Guangzhou for our little one might somehow be the same week you are there for yours. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Pingdingshan referral. When you are ready to get his newspaper finding ad (with a great photo months younger than his referral photos) come visit us.
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
